I would like to apologize for the error in the Wednesday, Dec. 3 edition of the Advertiser for the mis-print of the All-Thumb Team. The correct team will be ran again in the Dec. 6 edition of the Tuscola County Advertiser.
THANK YOU!

richardson second team on here but not even all gtc?

are the writers just supposed to go by the all league info?

All league, voted on by the other coaches is much harder to achieve than an all thumb selection done by paper boys that have to please their base.

perhaps the all thumb selection isn't as political of a process as the coaches are. ever think of that?

talk about political voting! in the coach of the year, 2 people voted ubly's coach as third place coach of the year! I would love to hear the reason for that. It must be more impressive to go 7-2 during the season than totally dominate every game and go 9-0. Obviously, the two coaches from tuscola voted him down so that they could sell more papers in millington. what a farce

It should be noted that Millington wasn't expected to have much of a season, but ended up going 8-1 and winning a league title.

I have no problem with Furno being co-coach. This has nothing to do with selling papers. You're going to tell me that there was a significant rise in TCS sales because Furno was named co-coach?

For the record, my votes went Sweeney, Gardy, Furno. The reason I voted Gardy second was the Lakers finished the season on a five-game winning streak to make the playoffs and win their first league title since 2002. I think each coach was deserving of the award.

Maybe I shouldn't have said it that way. What I mean is that the writers over that way voted for a coach in their area and didn't vote for the coach that had a great year. This is a coach that was AP coach of the year along with MHSFCA coach of the year. I 100% agree with your voting. Gardy did a wonderful job in Laker land this year and deserves every vote he received.
You are right. People will not go out and buy the paper because of the coach of the year award. I guess I meant that statement as a touch of sarcasm.
P.S. Keep up the good work Paul
